Queensferry Rd Digital Advertising Board Refused For Good

A community campaign, led by Alex Cole-Hamilton to stop plans for a 36ft digital advertising hoarding at the Quality St junction on Queensferry Road, has paid off after the Scottish Government reporter refused a final appeal from the developers.

This decision is final and cannot be appealed again. It comes after months of activity on the part of local residents.

Alex Cole-Hamilton said

"This is a tremendous result for community action, public safety and common sense. This junction has been the scene of several nasty accidents in the past few years. Aside from being an eyesore, these bill boards are designed to attract the attention of motorists. To site one on a stretch of one of the busiest roads in the capital is sheer lunacy. I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to object."
