Cole-Hamilton rubbishes Humza Yousaf's crystal ball claims

Responding to Humza Yousaf telling Good Morning Scotland "none of us had a crystal ball" to predict NHS pressures, Scottish Liberal Democrat leader and health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:

"In 2017, I warned that A&E services were facing a crisis. The BMA said then that the service was at ‘breaking point’.

"Now I don't claim to have a crystal ball but a quick conversation with the average paramedic would have clued in the Health Secretary.

"Rather than dismissively pretending that these challenges haven't been apparent for years, perhaps it's time Humza Yousaf had a chat to those struggling on the front line and delivered them the support and resources they have been crying out for."
