Responding to reports that pharmacists across Scotland have endured a rise in abusive and aggressive behaviour towards them, Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:
A new job matching service has launched for the Edinburgh and South East Scotland City Region. The COVID-19 Job Support website matches vacancies with job seekers who have registered for alerts.
I've had a flurry of cases this week where people have been made redundant with immediate affect as a result of the impact of COVID19 on the company they work for.
Responding to confusion over whether the new testing target includes testing carried out in Scotland, Scottish Liberal Democrat health spokesperson Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP said:
“Our health workers deserve clarity over testing targets.
“Both of Scotland’s governments owe it to them and the public to clearly communicate their plans.
“The sloppy explanation of whether these targets apply to Scotland has only spread confusion and concern. These targets must be immediately clarified so NHS activity and our expectations can be readjusted.”
Including: COVID helpline; how to volunteer; supermarket deliveries; emergency powers; health screening; help for those at greater risk; PPE; support for businesses.
The Scottish Liberal Democrats have laid amendments to the Coronavirus (Scotland) bill objecting to the Scottish Government’s plans to allow some court cases to go ahead without a jury.
