CONTROVERSIAL proposals to extend parking charges into the evening and weekends have been criticised by Scottish Lib Dem candidate Alex Cole Hamilton.
Alex Cole-Hamilton has expressed 'utter delight' at the election of Tim Farron as leader of the UK Liberal Democrats.
Speaking after the result, declared from London on 16th July Alex said:
"I'm utterly delighted that Tim has been elected as our new leader. He has incredible energy and an ability to connect with ordinary people in a way that has not been seen in British Politics for quite some time.
I have recently learned that a planning application, identical to the one submitted by Waitrose earlier this year to site a store and cafe on St John's Road was lodged with the council's planning department at the end of June. Developer Realis have since confirmed this will not be occupied by Waitrose but have refused to release a list of possible tenants.
The creeping erosion of civil liberties by the SNP knows no limits. The Scottish Government seems determined to roll out facial recognition software, a personal ID database and now, supported by the SNP led city council, regional CCTV hubs. If implemented in full (and let's face it, who is there left to stop them?) they will be able to monitor and catalogue the movements of private citizens on an unprecedented scale.
